Welcome to Bruce Starr's website!

On June 29th, the Oregon Legislature wrapped up the 2009 session. I am excited about being back in the district full-time and closer to my constituents. Click here to learn more about my accomplishments from this session.

Starr files for re-election to State Senate

Salem, OR – Bruce Starr (R-Hillsboro) has filed paperwork to run for his third term representing Senate District 15 at the Oregon Legislature. Starr has been a strong voice for the Washington district since 1999, and has developed a reputation as a common sense problem solver, consensus builder and champion of Oregon jobs.

“I hope I have earned the trust and support of voters,” said Starr. “It has been an honor and privilege to serve the people of this community that my family calls home.”

Political and personal agendas trump special session, leaves Oregonians still hurting

Need for jobs and rainy day fund remain unaddressed as final gavel drops

Salem, OR – The final “practice run” of Oregon’s even numbered year session was defined by political posturing, retribution and a distinctly partisan agenda, leaving little substantive work product for Oregonians to feel good about. The session began February 1st and in the afternoon of February 25th.
